Who else remembers the animated discussions when Petzl released the GriGri in the early 1990’s? Petzl used marketing phrases like “For the Best Belay Job You’ll Ever Have!”, and old school climbers scoffed with comments along the lines of “I’ll never let you belay me on trad with one of those”.
