Members: Knot or Not Quiz Analysis

The Knot or Not Quiz was published on 24 September, 2015.  It has had 820 completions with an average result of 51.7%.  Below is an overview of the quiz and the results generated.  This quiz was published to simply highlight some of the common knot errors that can easily be overlooked.  It was not designed to assess people’s knot knowledge but to encourage them to look carefully and critically.   The statistics will be influenced by how clearly people could see the images on their chosen device.  I suspect we would achieve a higher success result if we assessed people in the field where they can handle the knots at their will.  When teaching knots, please encourage them to check them carefully.  Showing some common dangerous ‘mis-knots’ can be an excellent teaching tool to build awareness.
